Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Each week, Jonesboro Right Now teams up with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society (NEAHS) to feature local pets available for adoption.

This week’s featured pets are Hank, a friendly mixed-breed puppy rescued from a ditch, and Aphrodite, a playful calico kitten ready to find her family. Here are the Jonesboro Right Now Pets of the Week:

Meet Hank: A Resilient, Water-Loving Pup Ready for Adventure

Northeast Arkansas Humane Society

Hank came into the shelter six weeks ago with his litter after our welfare team rescued him from a ditch. He’s 22 weeks old, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and is already neutered and microchipped. Hank will likely be a medium-sized mix, energetic and friendly, ready for his forever home!

How to adopt: For more details on taking the next steps to adopt, review the shelter’s guidelines at neahs.org/adopt or fill out the online adoption application.

Meet Aphrodite: A Bright and Playful Calico Looking for Her Kingdom

Northeast Arkansas Humane Society

Aphrodite came to the shelter six weeks ago with her litter. She’s now 12 weeks old and up to date on her vaccines and preventatives. Before being adopted, she’ll be spayed and microchipped. Aphrodite is playful and friendly and will make the purrfect addition to someone’s home!

How to adopt: For more details on taking the next steps to adopt, review the shelter’s guidelines at neahs.org/adopt or fill out the online adoption application.

How You Can Help

If you are unable to adopt a pet at this time, you can still assist Hank and Aphrodite by sharing this article on social media or sending it to friends and neighbors. Helping spread the word increases their visibility and helps connect them with potential adopters in Northeast Arkansas.

Additionally, through the end of July, NEAHS is participating in Bissell’s nationwide “Empty the Shelters” event, meaning adoption fees are currently reduced for all eligible animals at the shelter.
