Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 10, 2025 – NEA Divine Intervention has not only moved to a new, larger Jonesboro location but also opened its new foundation house for women, with another transitional home for men opening soon.

NEA Divine Intervention executive director and founder Shalinda Woolbright said the new facility, located at 2222 Spence Circle, is quite a bit larger than the old Phillips Drive location, with over 8,000 square feet compared to the former 2,500 square feet of office space.

“We’re no longer walking on top of each other and then, not only that… more people are comfortable with coming in because there’s more space and it’s such an inviting space,” Woolbright said.

She also noted that, while the organization already provided many services, including peer-to-peer counseling, treatment resources, employment assistance, and more, the expansion has allowed for even more with new rooms, such as the Dress for Success Clothing Room.

“Dress for Success is for individuals that have fallen on hard times… coming out of treatment, coming out of jail, coming out of prison, that’s looking for a job… that don’t have the clothing to go and look for those things or who want to go to church but they don’t feel like they have the proper attire to do so,” she said “We have clothing that they can come in and select.”

Other new rooms include a conference room, a dedicated art room, a kitchen and a game room, which Woolbright said was added to show people that they can have fun while in recovery, and they can have fun sober.

Meanwhile, the new Women’s Sober Living Foundation House in Turrell, formerly the old Turrell School, opened on Aug. 12; however, Woolbright said the Women and Children’s Center portion of the complex is not yet open. The Women and Children’s Center will be a transitional home for women to live with their children.

“There’s six buildings on that property and we need all the volunteer help we can get because it took me from October until now to get one building ready,” Woolbright said.

Donations for the foundation house and women’s center, such as feminine products, household items, appliances, clothes, diapers, and more, are still needed, she said.

When complete, the 18,000 square foot facility will hold up to 42 women and their children. Currently, 13 women are at the facility, most of whom Woolbright said came from the former women’s facility in Jonesboro. The former women’s facility is being turned into the organization’s first Men’s Sober Living House, which will open on Oct. 1, she said.
