Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The NEAt Crafting Guild will be holding its first NEAt Little Merry Market, benefiting The Arkansas Pet Savers (TAPS), on December 6th.

NEAt Little Merry Market event coordinator Allison Stickler said the event will be run completely by artists.

“Our little council [the NEAt Crafting Guild] is entirely made out of artists, and we all wanted an event that was centered for artists,” Stickler said. “It’s not a for-profit event. Nobody’s making money off of the vendors and everything that goes into admissions goes directly to the nonprofit [TAPS].”

She noted the guild is focused on making the event original with items that are unique, diverse, and handmade.

“We specialize in stocking stuffers, because the holidays are [coming] up,” she said. “We wanted to have a wide variety when we were making this and we wanted to make sure there wasn’t strong competition amongst the artist. Everybody is unique in their own kind of way.”

While prices will vary, Stickler said that this event will have something for everyone at a variety of price ranges.

“With [prices] going up it’s good to be able to support small artists and you want to be able to actually afford stuff yourself,” she added.

The NEAt Little Merry Market will be Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Story Rentals, located at 801 S. Gee St. Admission is purely based off monetary donations for TAPS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, primarily, dogs from local pounds, shelters, and neglect situations.

“Somebody can come up with $.50 or $10, whatever they would like to donate to the organization,” she said. All monetary donations will be accepted and provide admission.

According to Stickler, monetary donations help fund TAPS’ expenses, such as travel expenses to rescue animals across Arkansas and even from other states.

“They need those people, and they need that gas money to help transport [the animals] everywhere,” she said.

TAPS will also have a booth setup to accept material donations at the event as well, such as food, blankets, toys, collars, leashes, etc.
