November Neighborhood Cleanup scheduled in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – November’s Neighborhood Cleanup has been scheduled.

According to a City of Jonesboro Facebook post, city residents can drop off unused items from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Grace Baptist Church, located at 3930 Aggie Road.

City staff will be on-site to assist with loading items into dumpsters. Glass and cardboard recycling will also be available, the post said.

Keep Jonesboro Beautiful will have free paper lawn bags available for pickup, while supplies last.

Accepted items are listed below:

  • Clothes
  • Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
  • Basketball goals
  • Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
  • Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
  • Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed, and any residue must be dry)

The city will not accept the following:

  • Yard waste/limbs
  • Tractor/semi tires
  • Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
  • Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces are accepted, however)

Those unable to make it to the cleanup can drop off unwanted glass at the City Incinerator, located at 2650 Lacy Drive, from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
