Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – An Osceola woman faces a domestic battery charge after Jonesboro police said she stabbed a victim and fled to another state after the incident.

On April 26, officers were dispatched to St. Bernards for a stabbing incident. They met with the victim, who said she was having a get-together with friends when a woman who was staying at the apartment started an altercation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a woman identified as 19-year-old Katelyn Lashuntae Nimmers, who was said to be drunk, started an argument with the victim. She then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim in her left clavicle area. The victim was taken to the hospital afterward.

In addition to injuries to the clavicle, police noted that the victim had a small cut to her left forearm.

A bench warrant was issued for Nimmers, but it was later discovered that she had fled to Nebraska. She was arrested there four days later and arrived at the Craighead County Detention Center on May 14.

On May 15, Nimmers appeared before District Judge David Boling. He found probable cause to charge her with one class B felony: Second-degree domestic battering/physical injury.

Nimmers is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond with the requirements to not have any contact with the victim, and she must wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 26. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $15,000.
