Update at 12:37 p.m. Sept. 4, 2026: JPD said that the area of Bridge Street at East Washington Avenue is still closed to traffic, adding that the city’s street department will be placing sand to absorb the fluids that leaks from the truck. They advise being cautious when the street is open, and it will be slick with making turns at the intersection.

Video posted by JPD on Facebook showed two wreckers pulling the truck up and getting it back on its wheels. It’s still unclear what led to the truck being tipped over.

While initial dispatch reports indicated a rolled semi-truck, JRN confirmed via photos sent in from the scene that the vehicle is a cement truck.

Jonesboro Fire Chief Marty Hamrick confirmed there were no injuries. However, the crash did result in a hydraulic oil spill. Fire crews are currently on the scene working to clean up the hazard.

JPD notes that the southbound lane on Bridge Street is currently blocked. No word on when the area will be fully cleared.
