Parker Park Pool Opens

Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver helps Special guest LaToshia Woods cut the ribbon signaling the opening of the new Parker Park pool/Facebook: City of Jonesboro


Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com)  – June 15, 2024 – The $3 million Parker Park swimming pool project is complete. A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony was held Friday. Following the ceremony the announcement was made that the pool is now officially open.

Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver was present for the ribbon cutting. Copenhaver had announced the pool project in 2023 with a then-estimated cost of $1.5 million.

Also present at the ribbon cutting were City Council members Charles Coleman, Ann Williams, Dr. Anthony Coleman, Janice Porter and John Street.

Special guest LaToshia Woods had the honor of cutting the ribbon on the new pool in memory of her late husband Rennell Woods, former city councilman and advocate for Jonesboro youth.

Bailey Construction was the contractor on the pool project.  Brackett-Krennerich was the architect.

Summer pool hours will be 1-6pm daily. The admission price is $6 for adults 16+; $4 for youth 15 and under. All youth must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.  Senior citizens (55+) admission is $4.
