Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday night on Highway 351.

Jonesboro Police Public Information Officer Sally Smith said the accident happened in the 1600 block of Highway 351 (Old Greensboro Road) near the Dollar General Store.

The accident happened shortly after 7:00pm. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where medical staff pronounced the victim dead.

Both lanes of Highway 351 were blocked for a time.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
