Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Maria: Maria is a domestic shorthair female cat who has been in the shelter for five weeks. She’s one year and three months old and is up to date with all of her vaccines and preventatives. She’s sweet and playful, loves fluffy beds, and gets along well with other cats.
