Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 22, 2025 – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Bashful: Bashful is a 9-week-old female, domestic shorthair kitten. She came in with her litter and her mama, Snow White, five weeks ago. She’s up to date on all of her vaccines and ready for a loving home! Despite her name, Bashful is playful and affectionate with other kittens and with people.

Meet Lady Bug: Lady Bug is a medium-sized, female mix, who is 3 years and 3 months old. She came in heartworm positive but has successfully completed treatment. She’s already been spayed and microchipped and is up to date on her vaccines and preventatives. At 51 lbs., she loves people and other dogs and will make some family an excellent addition!
