Police: Motorcyclist Dies in Early Morning Crash in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A motorcyclist died as a result of a traffic accident early Monday morning, according to the Jonesboro Police Department (JPD).

In a news release, JPD said officers and EMS personnel responded to a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at 7:58 a.m. Monday near the Woodsprings Road/West Parker Road intersection.

The motorcyclist was transported via EMS to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said. Police noted the investigation was ongoing and that more information would be made available once it concluded.

“It is important to note that the City of Jonesboro has suffered nearly twice as many fatality accidents as this time last year. We remind you to slow down, wear your seatbelt, and don’t text and drive,” the news release said.
