Portion of Main Street to be Closed for ‘Paint the Town Red’ Block Party

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Drivers traveling through downtown Jonesboro this Friday should prepare for detours, as part of Main Street will be closed for the upcoming “Paint the Town Red” block party.

The city said the area between Huntington and Cate Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 3 p.m. Sept. 11. The closure will remain in effect until 10 p.m. to accommodate event setup, festivities, and cleanup.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use extra caution while driving downtown.

The block party will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
