Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – The West End Neighborhood Association’s 5th Annual West End Garden Tour drew a record number of visitors to explore nine private gardens and landscapes throughout Jonesboro’s historic West End neighborhood.

Held Sunday, June 21, the self-guided tour welcomed garden enthusiasts, families, neighbors, and visitors from across the region who spent the afternoon enjoying some of the city’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.

Guests experienced a diverse collection of gardens featuring colorful flower beds, mature shade trees, pollinator-friendly plantings, historic landscapes, secluded courtyards, and creative designs that reflected each homeowner’s unique personality and talents.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors encountered displays of seasonal blooms, including roses, hydrangeas, daylilies, irises, magnolias, and countless other flowering plants that transformed the neighborhood into a vibrant showcase of color and texture. The lush gardens, meticulously maintained by dedicated homeowners, highlighted both the beauty of the West End and the passion of those who care for these special spaces year-round.

“We are incredibly grateful to our garden hosts, volunteers, sponsors, and visitors for making this year’s tour our most successful yet,” said Mary Ellen Warner, Secretary of the West End Neighborhood Association. “The enthusiasm shown by the community was truly inspiring, and we were delighted to share the beauty, history, and horticultural treasures of the West End with so many people.”

Organizers thanked the nine homeowners who opened their private gardens to the public, as well as the many volunteers who assisted.

Proceeds from the tour directly support the West End Neighborhood Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to neighborhood preservation, beautification, community engagement, and educational initiatives that benefit local students and residents.

Funds raised through this year’s record-breaking attendance will help expand community programs, support neighborhood improvement projects, enhance Birdsong Community Garden, and further the association’s mission to strengthen the historic West End neighborhood.
