September Neighborhood Cleanup in Jonesboro scheduled

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 15, 2025 – The City of Jonesboro announced Friday that the Neighborhood Cleanup for September had been scheduled.

A Facebook post from the city said city residents can drop off unused items from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Parker Park, located at 1506 N. Church St. Additionally, city staff will be on-site to help load items into dumpsters.

Keep Jonesboro Beautiful will have free paper lawn bags available for pickup, while supplies last.

Accepted items are listed below:

  • Clothes
  • Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
  • Basketball goals
  • Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
  • Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
  • Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed, and any residue must be dry)

The city will not accept the following items:

  • Yard waste/limbs
  • Tractor/semi tires
  • Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
  • Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces are accepted, however)

Cardboard and glass recycling will also be available.

Those unable to make it to the cleanup can drop off unwanted glass at the City Incinerator, located at 2650 Lacy Drive, from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
