Shooting in Jonesboro leaves one dead, person of interest in custody

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A shooting Wednesday evening in the 2000 block of Belt Street has left one man dead.

The Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) is investigating the shooting, and a person of interest has been taken into custody.

According to a Facebook post from the JPD, when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a male with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

The JPD added that this is an active investigation. JRN has reached out to the police department for an update.
