Suspect in Custody Following Jonesboro Homicide

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A suspect is now in custody in connection with a recent homicide investigation in Jonesboro.

Local media outlets report that 23-year-old Jeremiah Northern was arrested in connection with the shooting. Northern, who is from Blytheville, was arrested Tuesday at 12 p.m., according to online jail records.

The arrest comes after the Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) reported a shooting incident Monday night on Fairview Drive. Officers found a deceased person with an apparent gunshot wound when they arrived.

Northern is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center pending formal charges and an upcoming probable cause hearing.
