When the officer made contact with Thomas and Ashford in the hotel lobby, he noticed Thomas, who’d been carrying a small black bag, immediately handed it to Ashford.

The officer ran the two through dispatch and learned they were both on probation. He then searched the bag, in which he found the following: a bag with 92 grams of meth, another bag with 16 grams of meth, and a digital scale, the affidavit said.

Ashford was also carrying a bag, in which police found a baggie with a gram of meth, a container of Lorazepam concentrate, and two grams of marijuana.

Thomas was charged with one count of possession of meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, a Class A felony; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony.

She is being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond, with the affidavit noting she had a “long drug history.” Her next court date is Aug. 21.
