Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – United Way of Northeast Arkansas is excited to bring back its virtual singing competition for a sixth season.

NEA Sings, presented by NEA Baptist, has continued to gain momentum across the region and has become a favorite annual event for musicians and music fans alike. Artists who have competed in previous years have gone on to perform at Downtown Jonesboro’s BBQ Fest and other stages throughout the area.

The 2026 competition will once again celebrate outstanding musical talent in Clay, Craighead, Cross, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Poinsett, Randolph and Mississippi Counties. The event helps strengthen local communities through the work of United Way of Northeast Arkansas while giving musicians a chance to shine. The virtual tournament and fundraiser is open to local bands and individual artists.

The Grand Prize winner will receive $1,000, a produced musical performance video by Anthem Pictures valued at more than $2,500, a photoshoot with James Bickham Visuals and a center stage performance at the next Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Fest.

“Each year, NEA Sings reminds us of how much talent lives right here in our communities,” said Heather Coats, Executive Director of United Way of Northeast Arkansas. “This event has become a place where local musicians feel seen and supported. We look forward to another season filled with powerful performances and community pride.”

The competition will return as a single elimination bracket tournament selected by a review committee. Musicians and bands must submit registration by March 15 at 8 a.m. The bracket and first round matchups will be announced shortly after. Winners will advance based on the number of votes received in the NEA Sings fundraiser, where every $1 donated counts as one vote.
