What’s closed for the New Year’s holiday in Craighead County?

Craighead County, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – JRN has compiled a list of closures for New Year’s across Craighead County.

This list will be updated as JRN learns of additional closures.

U.S. Post Office:

Closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.

State Offices:

All state offices, including the DMV, will be closed Jan. 1

County Offices:

All Craighead County offices, as well as the Jonesboro and Lake City courthouses, will be closed Jan. 1. However, the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center will be open.

City Offices:

City of Jonesboro:

City offices will be closed Jan. 1. Sanitation routes will be on an adjusted schedule the week of New Year’s.

City of Bay:

  • Closed Jan. 1

City of Bono:

  • Closed Jan. 1

City of Brookland:

Closed Jan. 1. According to the city’s website, Dedman’s Sanitation will not run Jan. 1. Instead, it will run the Thursday trash route on Friday, Jan. 2, and the Friday trash route on Saturday, Jan. 3.

City of Caraway:

  • Closed Jan. 1

City of Lake City:

  • Closed Jan. 1

City of Monette:

  • Closed Jan. 1

Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library:

All branches will be closed Jan. 1. Regular hours will resume Jan. 2

The return box at the main branch will be closed during that time, but materials can be returned at the library’s off-site book drop locations: First Community Bank at 630 Southwest Drive and the First Community Bank at 1617 S. Caraway Road.

NEA Baptist:

Emergency Departments:

Emergency departments will not be affected by the holiday and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Urgent Care Clinics:

Urgent Care Plus, located at 3001 Apache Drive in Jonesboro, will continue to operate under normal hours, which are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Urgent Care located at 4901 E. Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro will be open Jan. 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Urgent Care in Paragould, located at 4700 West Kingshighway, will be open on Jan. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon. All other NEA Baptist urgent cares will be closed Jan. 1.

NYITCOM at A-State Medical Clinic:

  • Closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1

Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center:

  • Closed Jan. 1
