What’s closed in Craighead County this Thanksgiving holiday?

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – With the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaching, JRN has compiled a list of closures across Craighead County.

U.S. Post Office:

The post office will be closed on Nov. 27. Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered that day. Postal services will resume on Nov. 28.

State Offices:

All state offices, including the DMV, will be closed Nov. 27-28.

County Offices:

All Craighead County offices will be closed Nov. 27-28. However, the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center will be open.

City Offices:

City of Jonesboro:

Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28. However, emergency services will be in operation. The city’s sanitation routes will be on adjusted schedules for the weeks of Nov. 24-29 and Dec. 1-6. More information here.

JET will be closed Nov. 27-28; however, it will be open Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additionally, the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce will be closed Nov. 27-28.

City of Bay:

  • Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28.

City of Bono:

  • Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28.

City of Brookland:

Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28. No sanitation routes will run on Nov. 27. Thursday’s trash route will run Friday, and Friday’s trash route will run Saturday.

City of Caraway:

  • Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28.

City of Lake City:

  • Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28.

City of Monette:

  • Offices will be closed Nov. 27-28.

Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library:

All branches will be closed Nov. 27-29. The return box at the main branch will also be closed during this time; however, materials can be returned at the library’s off-site drop-off locations. These drop-offs are located at the First Community Bank at 630 Southwest Drive and the First Community Bank at 1617 S. Caraway Road.

Regular hours will resume Dec. 1.

Clinics, Urgent Cares, and Hospitals:

NYITCOM at A-State Medical Clinic will be closed Nov. 26-28.

St. Bernards:

Emergency Departments:

Emergency departments in all three St. Bernards hospitals, which are located in Jonesboro, Pocahontas, and Wynne, will not be affected by the holiday and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Urgent Care Clinics:

Both Jonesboro locations (Red Wolf Boulevard and Parker Road) will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 26. They will be closed Nov. 27 and will resume regular operating hours on Nov. 28.

St. Bernards Health and Wellness:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 26
    • 5 a.m. – 5 p.m. (No classes/Kids Club open 8 a.m – 1 p.m.)
  • Thursday, Thanksgiving Day
    • Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 28
    • 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. (No classes/Kids Club closed)
  • Saturday, Nov. 29
    • 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. (No classes/Kids Club closed)
  • Sunday, Nov. 30
    • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Senior Life Centers:

All eight centers, which, in Craighead County, includes offices in Jonesboro, Lake City, Monette, and Caraway, will be closed Nov. 27-28.

St. Bernards Clopton Clinic:

  • Closed Nov. 27-28

NEA Baptist:

Emergency Departments:

Emergency departments will not be affected by the holiday and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Urgent Care Clinics:

Urgent Care Plus, located at 3001 Apache Drive, will continue to operate under normal hours. It is open every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Other closures are listed below.

  • Hilltop Urgent Care (4901 E. Johnson Ave.):
    • Closed Nov. 27, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 28
  • Woodsprings Urgent Care (2205 W. Parker Road):
    • Closed Nov. 27-28
  • Windover Urgent Care (1111 Windover Drive)
    • Closed Nov. 27-28
  • Brookland Clinic Urgent Care (8170 U.S. Highway 49 N.):
    • Closed Nov. 27-28

Primary Care Offices:

  • These will be closed Nov. 27-28.

Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center:

The Nature Center will be closed Nov. 24-29. It will reopen Dec. 2.

Craighead Electric Cooperative:

  • Closed Nov. 27-28

City Water and Light of Jonesboro:

  • Closed Nov. 27-28
