OK. I can officially say. We have enough snow for Stafford Snow Cream! Here’s what you do:
You need:
2 big plastic bowls or a big pot
A slotted spatula (important)
A stirring spoon
A can of Pet Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup of sugar
– In one bowl, combine the Pet Milk, vanilla and sugar and stir thoroughly until sugar is completely dissolved
– Use your other bowl to collect snow in a big plastic bowl. Use the slotted spatula (important). Find a place above ground where snow is collected like the top of a vehicle hood, top of a brick wall, etc. Take the spatula use it to scoop snow going across the snow surface and about halfway down–careful not to go down too far or you may pick up unwanted material.
– Take the spatula and spoon snow into the liquid mixture, stirring briskly, then add more snow, then stir briskly, then add more snow, etc. Continue repeating this process until you have a good ice cream consistency. Be sure all of the snow is mixed up well into the mixture..you don’t want to have any unmixed snow in any of your bites.
Enjoy this recipe as much as I have all of my life. It is a great way for me to remember my Mom, who made me snow cream many, many times.
