Thousand Dollar Holler 2014 rules

Here are the rules for the FOX Thousand Dollar Holler! Starting March 31-April 25, 2014 … Listen weekdays approximately 8am to 3pm, up to THREE times a day, for the Thousand Dollar Holler text word. When you hear the specified contest word you must text the correctly spelled word to 77000. Text entries for each contest play will be accepted until 10 minutes after the hour, of each specific contest episode. The Fox reserves the right to extend the texting deadline, if deemed necessary. The Fox may choose to announce a contest word more than one time during the permitted window, but there is no obligation to announce the word multiple times in any single contest play or in subsequent contest plays. Message and data rates may apply. One text per play.

The Fox will conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations affiliated with The Fox and in various states. Listeners of The Fox will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize. A station will be chosen at random from all the participating radio stations. Then a text received by that station will be chosen at random. The cell phone number from the chosen text will be called and the reaction recorded for broadcast. If unable to speak with the contestant who sent the text within 5 minutes from the time that contestant’s cell number is dialed, then the $1,000 prize will be forfeited and another random text will be chosen with the same procedure until a winner is determined. (The Fox) is not responsible for any difficulties contacting (The Fox) or entering the Contest, any malfunctions or errors, whether technical or typographical or human error, experienced due to overload, internet availability or texting server issues. Text messages are sent through third party providers; (The Station) does not guarantee, and shall not be responsible for, the delivery or timeliness of any text message entry. Prize will be available within 10 business days. Be safe… Don’t text and drive

(The Fox) contests are open to all eligible persons in Arkansas and Missouri 18 or older who have not won anything on (The Fox) in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts as they may be delayed from the on air broadcasts.

Employees of (The Fox), The Jonesboro Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the (The Fox) main studio are not eligible to enter or win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
